About Us

Hong Kong Information and Artificial Intelligence Association (HKIAIA) was officially registered in Hong Kong in May 2026 as a non‑profit social organization jointly initiated by experts, scholars, researchers, industry representatives, outstanding enterprises, and investment institutions in the fields of information science, computer engineering, artificial intelligence, data science, and related disciplines. With Hong Kong as its base, the Association serves the whole nation and connects with the international community. Leveraging Hong Kong’s strengths as an international platform, it brings together global research, industry, capital, and top‑tier talent resources, and is committed to building an open platform for interdisciplinary collaborative innovation and deep integration of industry, academia, and research. The Association focuses on key areas including artificial intelligence, digital economy, intelligent manufacturing, robotics, AI healthcare, advanced materials, and digital education. It actively engages in academic exchanges, talent development, research collaboration, technology commercialisation, industry empowerment, investment and financing matchmaking, and science and technology policy advisory services. Its overarching goal is to promote the deep integration of technological innovation with industrial development, and to contribute professional expertise to the construction of the Guangdong‑Hong Kong‑Macao Greater Bay Area International Science and Technology Innovation Center, as well as to the high‑quality development of the global artificial intelligence industry.

Core work

· Organize academic conferences, industry forums, international exchange activities, and professional competitions. · Initiate and undertake research projects, and promote joint research among universities, research institutions, and enterprises. · Facilitate technology needs matching, outcome evaluation, application validation, and the development of demonstration scenarios. · Organize project selection, project roadshows and promotion, investment and financing matchmaking, and industrial incubation. · Establish an expert think tank and a talent development system, and provide mentorship, research practice, and innovation and entrepreneurship support. · Promote member exchange, industrial collaboration, and regional cooperation, as well as science and technology policy research and advisory services.

Hong Kong Information and Artificial Intelligence Association (HKIAIA) has established an organisational structure guided by Honorary Experts, coordinated by the Board of Directors, decided by the Presidium, executed by the Secretariat, and advanced collaboratively by Expert Committees. It brings together professional strengths from academia, the scientific and technological community, industry, education, and the investment sector, forming a non‑profit social organisation that combines international perspective, academic excellence, and practical industrial capabilities. HONORARY FOUNDERS AND HONORARY ADVISORS Composed of distinguished experts in information science, artificial intelligence, robotics, intelligent manufacturing, advanced materials, AI healthcare, and technology education, they provide professional guidance and strategic support for the Association’s development direction, academic advancement, major projects, and international cooperation. HONORARY PRESIDENTS Held by entrepreneurs and technology leaders with industry influence and extensive practical experience, they support the Association in promoting industrial collaboration, commercialisation of scientific and technological achievements, corporate cooperation, and resource connectivity. BOARD OF DIRECTORS AND PRESIDIUM The Board of Directors is the core governance and decision‑making body of the Association, responsible for formulating development plans, deliberating on major matters, and coordinating the overall work of the Association. The Presidium is responsible for implementing the resolutions of the Board of Directors and advancing key tasks in academia, industry, talent development, and international cooperation in an orderly manner. SECRETARIAT The Secretariat is the executive body for daily affairs of the Association, responsible for member services, event organisation, project management, external liaison, brand building, and coordination of various professional sectors, ensuring the efficient operation of all Association activities. EXPERT COMMITTEES AND WORKING TEAMS The Association may, in accordance with its development needs, establish expert committees or working teams in areas such as academic affairs, competitions, industrial cooperation, talent development, investment and financing, and international exchanges, engaging experts, scholars, and industry representatives from various fields to promote the implementation of specialised work and key projects.
